For dns configuration on windows server 2016 first you have add roll and features of dns from server manager.
After installing DNS go to DNS manager. For DNS configuration follow the steps:
1. Additing forward zone:
2. Adding reverse zone.
Use nslookup command to check dns configured properly or not.
